Bogotá, the city that is 2600 meters closer to the stars

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I landed in Bogotá the first time , but it definitely wasn't this. Despite being the capital of Colombia, Bogotá doesn't have the grandeur or "big city" feel of other Latin American metropolises. Instead, the city is grittier and more down-to-earth, with a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere

Bogotá is one of those cities that you either love or hate. I happen to love it. It is  a city of contrasts. A bustling metropolis nestled in the Andes mountains, Bogota is a city where the old and new collide. graffiti covers crumbling colonial buildings next to modern skyscrapers. Colonial churches sit next to nightclubs blasting music until the early hours of the morning. Bogotá is a city that will excite and overwhelm you at the same time. With so much to see and do, it can be hard to know where to start! Whether you're interested in learning about the city's past or simply enjoying its lively atmosphere, Bogotá is well worth a visit.  If you're looking for things to do in Bogotá look no further! This city has something for everyone. From history and culture, to nightlife and nature, it6 has it all.

Bogotá is a city rich in history and culture. A visit to the Gold Museum is a must for anyone interested in learning more about Colombia's gold mining industry. As a Gold Museum, one might expect the Museo del Oro de Bogota to be all about gold. But this museum is really a history lesson on the country's gold mining industry. Located in the heart of downtown Bogotá, the museum contains 3,000 pieces of gold art and artifacts from Pre-Columbian times to today. If you're interested in learning about how Colombia became a leading gold producer in the world, then this is the place for you!

First time I was in Bogotá was for a work trip I ha,d some free time on my last day so I looked up things to do in the area. I found that there was a monastery called Monserrate that overlooked the city so I decided to check it out. The hike up was really steep, but it was worth it when I got to the top and saw the view.If you're looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, Monseratte is the place to go. This nature reserve is home to a variety of flora and fauna, making it a great place for a hike or bike ride. And if you're lucky, you might even see some of the park's resident animals, like deer or monkeys. So put on your hiking boots and explore what Monseratte  has to offer!

If there's one thing Bogotá does well, it's food. From traditional dishes to international cuisine, the city has something for everyone. And don't forget the drinks! Yes,  Colombian coffee is some of the best in the world, but aguardiente
Guaro, the colloquial name for aguardiente,is Colombia's national spirit, distinct with its soft notes of anise layered over tropical fruit, and a perceivable sweetness. There are plenty of bars and clubs where you can enjoy a drink or two.

Move over, Paris. There's a new coffee capital in town , and it's called Bogotá. This city is home to some of the best cafes in the world, and with good reason – the coffee here is simply delicious. The city is abuzz with coffee shops and street vendors selling hot cups of the dark brew. And thanks to the growing specialty coffee scene, there are plenty of cafes and roasters to choose from. Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or an afternoon of relaxation, Bogotá has something for you. So put on your comfy shoes and get ready to explore all the amazing cafes this city has to offer.

These are some of my favourite places to stay in Bogotá. I really enjoyed in historic hotels like Hotel de la Opera or Casa San Alejandro . If Airbnb is your thing , you are in luck there are many trendy neighborhoods. I really enjoy la  Zona Rosa or Chapinero Alto. What's the best neighborhood in Bogotá? Zona Rosa or Chapinero Alto? It's a tough question to answer, because both neighborhoods have their own unique charms. You won’t be disappointed with neither of them .

Bogotá is a city that has something for everyone. Whether you are looking for history, culture, nightlife or nature, Bogotá will not disappoint. With its moderate climate and wide variety of activities, Bogotá is a great destination any time of year. Have you been to Bogota? What was your favorite part?
