I have had the opportunity to visit Lima, Peru on various occasions and every time was an experience unlike any other. From the moment I arrived in the city, I could feel the vibrant energy that pulsed through the streets. The buildings were adorned with brightly colored murals and the people walking by were all friendly and eager to chat. I felt welcome everywhere I went.

First thing you will notice is the architecture.The Palace of Torre Tagle is a beautiful example of Spanish Renaissance architecture and was built in the 16th century.If you go to Cusco , the San Francisco Monastery is an important historical site that was founded in the 16th century by the Franciscan order.Both sites are open to visitors and offer fascinating insights into Peruvian history. They are also great locations for photography enthusiasts to capture some amazing shots .Admission is free for both sites, so be sure to visit them during your next trip to Lima!

Miraflores is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Lima, and is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The beaches are well-maintained and offer stunning ocean views.Barranco is also home to some great beaches, and is known for its laid-back atmosphere. Both neighborhoods are easily accessible by bus or taxi, so you can easily enjoy a day at the beach without having to worry about getting there.Be sure to check out the local restaurants and bars,they're some of the best in Lima!

The city is full of culture and its museums are exceptional .The Museum of Art has a variety of collections on display, including paintings, sculptures, and ceramics.The National Museum of Archeology, Anthropolo houses a number of artifacts from different cultures and time periods.Both museums are open every day except for Monday and admission is free for students and children under the age of 18.There are also a number of discounts available for seniors and members of the military. .Guided tours are available at both museums for an additional fee.


Shopping is quite the experience in Lima . Larcomar is a great place to shop for high-end brands. Plaza de Armas has a variety of stores, including local vendors. It is located on the coast and has beautiful views. Plaza de Armas is in the heart of Lima and close to many tourist attractions.Both malls are open until 10pm every night

Last but certainly not least is the Peruvian food. For my personal taste the top cuisines in the world are French, Italian , Mexican and Peruvian , the latter being my favourite. Here are my favourite dishes : Ceviche is a dish made from fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices.Pollo a la brasa is a popular Peruvian dish made with chicken that's been marinated in spices and herbs.It is irestible. Lomo saltado is a stir-fry dish made with strips of beef, onions, tomatoes, and french fries .

Aji de gallina is a creamy chicken stew made with peanuts, milk, and Parmesan cheese. Wash everything down with a delicious Pisco Sour or a Chicha morada, a refreshing drink made from purple corn, pineapple juice, and cinnamon sticks. The national wines are also quite good and inexpensive .I also have to mention Chifa food  which is mixture of Chinese and Peruvian foods. It is plentiful, and absolutely delicious as well as inexpensive. I will do a blog on a separate occasion on Peruvian coffees which are some of my favourites in the world.
