Vibrant Panama

Panama is an incredible country with so much to offer. The people are friendly, the food is delicious, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. If you're thinking about taking a trip to Panama, don't hesitate , just do it! You won't regret it. Panama is an experience unlike any other. From the moment I arrived in Panama City, I was struck by the heat and humidity. It's hot and seriously humid have been warned !

But despite the weather, there was a certain charm to the city that kept me coming back for more.  Between the brightly colored buildings, interesting architecture, and friendly people, Panama City definitely has a lot to offer. And of course, no visit to Panama would be complete without spending some time on the beautiful beaches!

With its stunning coastal scenery, burgeoning expat community, and affordable cost of living, there's no shortage of things to do in Panama. There are endless things to do in Panama, but how do you know which ones are the best? From exploring its verdant rain forests to relaxing on its pristine beaches, there  is something for everyone . No wonder If you want to retire in a tropical paradise without breaking the bank, Panama is a great option. I myself considered moving there, but the weather was strong impediment for me.(Did I mention the humidity ?)

Some people might think that all of Panama is just one big, steamy jungle. And while there is plenty of that to be found , we also love Panama City for its great shopping , fun nightlife and delicious food. Did you know it also has a cool canal…=)

Looking to add a little adventure to your life? Why not pay a visit to the Panama Canal? This man-made wonder is an engineering feat like no other, and it's sure to leave you in awe. This man-made waterway opened in 1914 and is still an engineering marvel today. If you're thinking about visiting Panama, a trip to the canal should definitely be on your list. And who knows, you might even learn a thing or two about engineering!

Panama City is one of the most visited cities in Central America for good reason: it has something for everyone. If you're looking for an energetic nightlife, Panama City has it. If you're after a more relaxed and historical experience, head to the old town where Spanish colonial-era buildings still line the cobblestone streets. Known as Casco Viejo , it was once the home of wealthy Spanish colonialists, today it's packed with art galleries, trendy restaurants and cafes, and plenty of boutique shopping. Take in the impressive architecture, and stop in at one of the many hotspots to enjoy some local flavor. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a fun day out, Casco Viejo is definitely worth a visit.

Shopping in Panama City is a unique experience. You can find everything from high-end malls to local street markets. Whether you're looking for brand names or rare treasures, Panama City has something to offer shoppers of all ages and interests. You can find anything you need, and the best part is that it's all tax free, the prices are unbelievable.

Surprisingly, Panama's food scene is underrated. With its mix of Spanish, Caribbean, and Latin American flavors, the country offers a wide variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate. Panama City is also home to incredible international food restaurants .

If you are thinking of renting a car , don’t .People drive like madmen. Even if your credit cards provides insurance , rental car companies will ask for a $ 5 000 to $ 10 000 hold on your card ! So if you insist , pay for the insurance and save yourself lots of headache. I was involved in two different accidents in Panama ,through no fault of my own …Really, really ! I was glad to be able to walk away and just let the rental car company take care of the ensuing (bureaucratic) mess.

Panama is a country with much to offer visitors. From the vibrant city life of Panama City to the stunning beaches and rainforest, there is something for everyone in this Central American gem. Whether you are looking for an adventure or a relaxing vacation, make sure to add Panama to your list of travel destinations. Have you been to Panama? What was your favorite part?
