Our Coffee and Black Bean Brownies are a protein knockout

As a healthy and protein-rich alternative to flour, black beans are used in this chocolatey dish. Add our 1936 instant coffee for an extra layer of flavour.I'm not sure what I was expecting when I decided to try making coffee black bean brownies, but it surely wasn't this delicious.

The beans add a rich, chocolatey flavor and a healthy boost of protein, making these brownies the perfect snack for when you need a little pick-me-up. Give them a try!


Ingredients


• 1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
• 3 eggs
• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
• ¼ cup cocoa powder
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¾ cup white sugar
• 2 teaspoons 1936 Torrefacto Chocolate Instant Coffee
• ½ cup milk chocolate chips


Directions

• Step 1

Bake at 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C). Grease a square baking dish that is 8 inches by 8 inches.

• Step 2

Blend the black beans, eggs, oil, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla extract, sugar, and instant coffee, and then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Chocolate chips should be sprinkled on top of the finished product.

• Step 3

Bake in the preheated oven until the top is dry and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 30 minutes.
