Our solid 1936 Coffee Oatmeal Cookies

Here's a delicious oatmeal cookie recipe with a hint of coffee flavor from our 1936 Torrefacto instant coffees. Any of our 6 flavours will work depending on your taste.These cookies are perfect for coffee lovers who enjoy a bit of extra depth in their treats.

Oatmeal Cookies with Instant Coffee


1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon 1936 Coffee Torrefacto instant coffee granules (Any of our 6 flavours will work depending on your taste.)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans work well)
Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.
Prepare the Coffee Mixture:

Dissolve the 1936 Torrefacto instant coffee granules in 1 tablespoon of hot water. Set aside to cool slightly.
Cream the Butter and Sugars:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next.
Mix in the vanilla extract and the dissolved coffee mixture.
Combine Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Mix in Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Add Oats and Optional Ingredients:

Stir in the rolled oats, and if desired, fold in the raisins and chopped nuts.
Shape the Cookies:

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve the cookies with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee for an extra coffee kick!
Adjust Coffee Flavor: For a stronger coffee flavor, you can increase the amount of instant coffee granules to 1.5 tablespoons.

Storage: Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
